Morgan Stanley Japan Holdings is a locally incorporated holding company in Japan. It holds a controlling stake in companies that conduct in Japan, Morgan Stanley’s securities business, investment management business, real estate-related business and other financial services.

The main function of the company is to exercise oversight of the business of Morgan Stanley group companies in Japan, including oversight of internal control, corporate governance, administration and infrastructure related matters for the subsidiaries.

The company is 100% indirectly owned by Morgan Stanley, the ultimate parent entity.
