Mia Nagasaka - Banks, Insurance/Other Nonbanks

Mia Nagasaka joined Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities in July 2010. Previously she worked at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and Barclays Capital Securities. Having covered the Game/Internet/Leisure and Other Contents sector since 2007, she took over coverage of the Banks sector in 2016. She graduated from Keio University's Department of Humanities and Social Science and received a Master's Degree from Keio Business School. While in graduate school she studied at the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.

Atsuro Takemura - REITs, Housing/Real Estate, Construction

Atsuro Takemura joined Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities in March 2016 and covers the J-REIT industry. He previously worked at SMBC, Credit Suisse, and Barclays, where he covered the real estate and J-REIT industries. He graduated from the Faculty of Commerce and Management of Hitotsubashi University, and is a chartered member of the Security Analysts Association of Japan.

Takeshi Yamaguchi - Economics

Takeshi Yamaguchi is Chief Economist for Japan of Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities. He is responsible for forecasting the Japanese economy and related policy developments. Takeshi joined Morgan Stanley in 2006 and has been a key part of the Japan economics team, analyzing and providing forecasts for the Japanese economy and the BoJ’s policy. Before joining the Firm, he was an economist at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (former Export-Import Bank of Japan). He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Tokyo and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Robert Feldman - Senior Advisor

Robert Alan Feldman is Senior Advisor to the Research Department of Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities. As part of Morgan Stanley’s global economics team, he is responsible for thematic research on the Japanese economy. He serves as a member of several economic study committees of various ministries of the Japanese government, and has served as a commissioner of the Japan-US Friendship Commission. He is also a regular commentator on World Business Satellite, the nightly business program of TV Tokyo. Robert is also a professor at Tokyo University of Science, in the Management of Technology program. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 1998, Robert was the chief economist for Japan for Salomon Brothers from 1990-97. He worked for the International Monetary Fund from 1983-89, in the Asian, European, and Research Departments.

Robert has a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he concentrated on international finance and development. He did his undergraduate work at Yale University, where he took BAs in both Economics and in Japanese Studies, graduating phi beta kappa, summa cum laude. Before entering graduate school, he worked at both the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and at the Chase Manhattan Bank.
